E C2024-08-29Coming to 2 years and counting with Ivy at Meta. I am enjoying the PT sessions with Ivy in achieving the physical goals set. It helped that Ivy was encouraging and yet firm in helping me reach the goals. It is very important to train right with a professional like Ivy so I won’t learn the wrong techniques (that will be tough to undo later) or hurt myself. To add, the major pull is the exclusivity, clean, boutique like setup - not the typical cookie cutter, mass market kind of gym. Also they take pride in well maintaining their facilities and machines which is a plus. The most valuable takeaway was enjoying working out and incorporating it into a life habit long term that help shaped me better physically and mentally.
Tim Wong2024-08-22Bought the 30 session package. Was nervous at first because I wasn't sure what value to expect. The experience has been very positive. In addition to working out in a well-maintained gym (wide selection of machines, very clean gym and bathrooms), the trainers are excellent. I worked with Junior, who was very focused on helping me develop a workout plan that would help me first, recover from injury, then sustain fitness beyond my 30 sessions. He helped me develop a diet and routine that I can now practice even on my own. He has also taught me the correct form necessary to get the most out of my workouts. The gym is never crowded, even when many clients are there at the same time. All the other trainers come across as equally professional. Highly recommend.

Serena Koh2024-08-10I first began training with Brendan at META Performance about a year ago, as I was looking to shed a few extra pounds prior to my wedding, and my then fiancé (now hubby) had been training with Sebastian at META for several years. It was my first time ever in a gym and tbh gymtimidation is real. I was actually quite terrified on my first day! Fortunately Brendan was very patient and tailored the programming to my needs as a complete newbie. I felt scared of the weights but I also felt safe that I wouldn’t sustain injuries under his watchful eye. His programming ensured that I didn’t get bored with the same old exercises over and over again. I felt constantly challenged but not to a point where I was demotivated, and I began to look forward to every gym session. I also discovered everyone here is really friendly so I didn’t feel so scared or out of place anymore! (This one’s for you, Lily <3) I think good PT goes beyond personalised meal plans and learning how to do exercises with good form. Initially, I struggled a lot with having a healthy relationship with food. Brendan and Sebastian (and all the other trainers at META) emphasise the importance of sustainability - this isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon for one’s long term health. Once again, Brendan’s patience in monitoring my diet helped tremendously in keeping me on track; and I even did a photoshoot a couple of months ago (no filter!) I could never have imagined that I would look this way, and I’m really amazed that I’ve come so far under Brendan’s guidance. Overall, META Performance has been a total game changer for me - Brendan has helped improve my overall fitness, nutrition consciousness, self image and confidence and most importantly, in a sustainable manner. lee foon han2024-06-27I am nearing mid-sixties but I must say that I have never been so strong before. All thanks to Meta Performance. Credit goes to my trainer, Jaron. I look forward to every gym session. Jaron may be young but he is a dedicated trainer who pushes me beyond what I think I am capable of. His encouragement and constant watchfulness over my posture allow me to improve by leaps and bounds. He helps me work out well to achieve not only upper body strength, but also mobility and more range in my weakened knees, one of which has undergone 3 arthroscopic surgery before I joined Meta Performance. Imagine I can still enjoy a 2-hour pickleball game twice weekly now without having to wear any knee guards. Jaron makes every effort to help me even though I travel quite a fair bit. He helps me to ease back into the rigours of the gym regime , making it seem as if I have never taken time out from my gym schedule. Kudos to Jaron of Meta Performance. He has been instrumental in helping me achieve my fitness goals. Jaron’s holistic approach to training included everything from nutrition guidance to perfecting work out form. He took the time to educate me on which exercises target specific muscle groups (helpful when I work out at the gym myself). When I injured my knee, Jaron adapted my program to ensure I could continue progressing without aggravating the injury. Additionally, he provided me with a structured meal plan that aligned with my fitness objectives, making it easier for me to maintain a balanced diet. Jaron’s dedication and expertise have been invaluable in my fitness journey. He honestly cares about your progress and well-being. Daniel Lindsey2024-06-10I’ve been training with Brendan now for almost 2 years and his got me into the best shape of my life and able to eat more than ever before and still keep very lean. Very experienced trainer - lots of knowledge, great tips on form and of course pushes me hard! But also spends a lot of time outside of sessions helping with my diet, the training and remedial work I do on my own and monitoring my progress. The gym itself is a really friendly environment and has great equipment. Very clean and convenient for me working in Raffles Place area. I’ve had enough time there to observe the other PTs too - they are all high quality so you’ll be in safe hands whoever you choose.
